Directions:
Prepare the Filling:
In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, crumbled turkey bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed and smooth. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 20 minutes to firm up.
Shape the Bites:
Using a spoon or small scoop, take about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 15-20 minutes.
Set Up the Coating Stations:
Place the crushed Doritos in a shallow bowl. In another bowl, add flour. In a third bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
Coat the Bites:
Remove the cheese balls from the freezer. Roll each one in flour, then dip it in the egg mixture, and finally coat it in the crushed Doritos. Press lightly to ensure the coating sticks well. Repeat for all.
Fry Until Crispy:
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the coated bites in batches for 1-2 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serve and Enjoy:
Let the bites cool for a minute before serving. Pair them with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy the crunch!
